Traditional Asian Clothes

Asia is a continent in which a rich heritage lies from various nationalities, societies and etnic gruops. As a consequence the traditional clothing varies greatly in spite of the globalization keeps destroying the real cultural heritages, the societies still considers the clothing as one of the most important heritage of their cultures which should be maintained.

On the Asian continent, where I’m also from, dressing types range from wrapped to cut-and-sewn examples.  For example; In China, types of dress have changed over time, in relation with other peoples: Turks, Mongols, Manchus, and other peoples of China’s Central Asian and northern borderlands sometimes influenced the cut and style of tailored garments in China itself. Throughout India, women wrap six to nine yards of unstitched fabric in specific styles.
